@Th3_WhiteRabbit @casualblu3 tarkov has 1000s of ammo types to memorize, hundreds of armor and armor plates, thousands of attachments, and thats not to mention streets alone can take 1000s of hrs to memorize. how is running into people more often make a game more hardcore? if anything its the opposite lol.

Going in with a green shield and taking out a fully kitted purple shield is a great feeling, but most players on this game just don’t play situations correctly due to playing in a more “battle royale playstyle” so they never have the chance to experience that. GG BUNGIE

Level based/skill based/gear based matchmaking or whatever they have going on in Marathon is really ruining the game. A big part of extraction shooters is when you load in, you have no idea who you’re going in against or what gear they have.

“everyone loads in on the same playing field” or “im not gonna load in and get slammed by purple shields 2 minutes in while playing the free kit mode.” When ideally that is the core of an extraction shooter. More risk = more reward.
