@candvbmw Lovely advert. Pretty sure all 3.0LA models were on the Zenith carbs though, the only fuel injected E3s were the 3.0Si and the 3.3Li. 1184 RHD 3.0LAs were made in Germany between Jan '75 and Feb '77.
@jakebeldercars Worst I have seen in a long, long time. Yeah, really bad. It had a 90% rating on rotten tomatoes and 7/10 on IMDb… completely lost faith in ratings/review sites!
@littlea_me I’m not an expert, but they can be expensive to run and some replacement parts are hard to find. Would be happy to ping you some old buying guides from my BMW magazine days if you DM me an email address.
@jrendell @Keith_Adams___ I'm south of the river within the current ULEZ so definitely possible. I did find that getting cover for occasional business use was night on impossible though!
@jrendell @Keith_Adams___ I'm with Footman James and they insure my classic with on-road parking 24/7. Need access to another (ie. non-classic) car though.
@TheDanProsser Happened to me about 20 years ago when the cops rang the bell and asked me if I'd used my E34 M5 in a ram-raid in Glasgow the previous night. Given the undamaged M5 was sitting outside the house it seemed like a bit of a silly question!
@_theintercooler Alfasud 1.5ti. Might have only morphed into a hatch in its twilight years but it’s still the seminal Italian hot ‘hatch’. Dynamically still one of the best handling machines ever made.
Looking for bodyshop recommendations in the south east. Nephew always wanted a W123 and bought one that’s a bit rough around the edges. Needs wheelarches and a few other bits and bobs sorting out. Would love some recommendations on places that are happy to tackle rusty classics!
