Hello, you historically ignorant person.
Don’t conflate the Qurayshi Umayyads with the Syrians.
The Umayyads were Arabs from the Arabian Peninsula, from Mecca, Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦🇸🇦.
In the end, they were Arabian Arabs. Stop stealing our history and claiming it as your own. Enough with this nonsense. Was an Umayyad a Syriac person? Was an Abbasid a Nabataean Babylonian?
History is not merely the names of states and lines drawn on a map. It is the history of the land and its people. Most countries in the world have changed their names and political entities throughout history, yet that did not erase their history. This only happens when newcomers absurdly try to strip Saudis of their history by using the weak argument that “Saudi Arabia did not exist.”
Of course it existed in the historical sense: its land existed, its people existed, and its culture and values existed. From this land came conquerors and leaders, and we are their descendants, carrying their legacy and taking pride in it.
Show me one respected historian who said that the Umayyads became “Syrians” simply because they migrated from the Arabian Peninsula to the Levant.
And if we follow your strange logic, the Umayyads later left the Levant and moved to al-Andalus, where they ruled for more than twice as long as they had ruled in the Levant. So, by your simplistic standard, did they suddenly become Spanish? 😂
Seriously, this is the kind of logic that comes only from someone who wants to erase historical facts while being ignorant of both history and geography.
