Hon. Mwijukye Francis; I saw Minister Balaam questioning some head teachers of government-aided secondary schools for charging school fees to learners, even though these schools receive capitation grants from the government to fund their operations. However, I want to let you know that there are some government-aided schools such as Ntare School, Bweranyangi Girls' Senior Secondary School, Mbarara High School etc that charge close to UGX 3 million per student each term. If Minister Balaam thinks he is powerful, let him go and question the head teachers of those schools and see if he keeps his job as a minister.

Min. Balaam; My friend Hon Francis Muijukye. Government aided day schools should not charge apart from external fees and meals which are optional . Boarding schools charge due to the different costs involved in running the boarding seco and it’s optional why should a poor parent or student join a renown expensive school?

I’m deeply saddened by the passing of Rt. Hon Gen. (Rtd) Moses Ali, member of @Parliament_Ug for Adjumani West County, on his passing today.
Uganda has lost a true giant whose legacy of selfless service, discipline, and unwavering commitment to the nation will endure for generations.
Personally, I mourn a father figure and mentor who took me in as a son. As Government Chief Whip for nine months under office of the Prime Minister where he served as Deputy PM and Deputy Leader of Government Business, his guidance and wisdom helped me settle in and grow into my role until my election as Deputy Speaker. Our offices were opposite each other and his door was always open for me to consult and tap into his unmatched wisdom.

My heartfelt condolences go out to his family, H. E the President, the Rt. Hon. Speaker of Parliament, the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister, colleagues at Parliament, @NRMOnline, the people of Adjumani and the country at large.

May Allah grant his family strength and comfort, and rest Gen’s soul in eternal peace.

It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that I have received the sad news of the passing of my dear friend, distinguished patriot, freedom fighter, and statesman, General Moses Ali, who departed this life today at 4:25 p.m. at Nakasero Hospital.

General Moses Ali devoted his life to the service of Uganda. His contribution to the struggle for peace, national unity, stability, and reconstruction will forever remain engraved in the history of our nation. He was a courageous soldier, an astute leader, and an elder statesman whose wisdom, humility, and unwavering commitment to Uganda inspired generations of leaders and citizens alike.

On behalf of my family and in my own name, I extend my heartfelt condolences to His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the Government and people of the Republic of Uganda, the bereaved family of General Moses Ali, the people of Adjumani District, the entire West Nile Sub-region, and all Ugandans who mourn this immense national loss.

May we find comfort in the remarkable legacy he leaves behind a legacy of patriotism, sacrifice, courage, and dedicated public service. His life reminds us that true greatness is measured not by the offices one occupies, but by the lives one touches and the nation one helps to build.

As we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate a life lived with honour, duty, and distinction. Uganda has lost one of her finest sons, but his enduring legacy will continue to inspire future generations to serve with integrity, selflessness, and unwavering love for country.

May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him His infinite mercy, admit him into Jannatul Firdaus, and grant strength, comfort, and peace to his family and to all who mourn him.
