Rest in Peace, Omukama Oyo Nyimba Rukidi IV of Tooro ๐๐๏ธ
My deepest condolences to the people of Tooro and Uganda at large. May his legacy live on, and may God comfort the Kingdom, his family, and everyone mourning this great loss๐
I might sound like I donโt support him but itโs not the case. This isnโt about Olara Otunnu. Itโs about a political culture that refuses to let go.
Uganda cannot keep talking about empowering the youth while the same generation insists on occupying every leadership space.
Veteran politicians have a priceless role: mentor, advise, and build the next generation, not compete with them forever.
If leaders want to serve until they die, when exactly are young Ugandans supposed to gain experience? Or is leadership now a lifetime occupation?
Strange that many political analysts stay silent on this. They analyse names and personalities, but avoid the uncomfortable conversation about generational transition.
The future belongs to those who will live in it. Give the youth a chance to lead.
