The government is this week considering raising petrol and diesel costs to €2.10.
This is 100% wrong given that Ireland is already one of the most expensive countries in the EU.
Please sign the petition to stop this. https://t.co/ix1kRALvVc...
Meta’s Clonee data centre in County Meath recorded an annual consumption of 657 million litres.
There are 107 data centres in Ireland.
At the same time, the government is imposing a hose pipe ban.
Today on #RTETWIP, @Toibin1 says the O'Shea review into #abortion legislation 'has been proven to be completely incorrect'.
TWIP will repeat at 23:35 on @RTEOne, as well as at 18:30 and 22:00 on the RTÉ News Channel.
FF and FG leadership have backed SF’s move to remove the 3 day reflection period, a safeguard promised in the 8th Amendment campaign. A clear betrayal of that promise.

Incredible result tonight defeating the Soc Dems bill to remove the 3 day wait. 10,000 women up to 2024 did not return for 2nd appt, that was 10,000 babies that would not have been born without this regulation. This legislation saves lives.
The Social Democrats attempt to remove one of the last protections for unborn babies has failed.
Thank you to all who contacted their local TD and asked for support in opposing this bill.

There were 10,850 abortions in Ireland last year.
The highest ever number in this state.
However. Many mothers did not go ahead with an abortion because of the three day reflection period.
The Soc Dems want to remove the reflection period.

James O'Connor TD voted confidence in the Government yesterday — after a week of publicly criticising its handling of the fuel crisis. If you're feeling disenfranchised with the current political establishment, remember this when the next GE comes around in Cork East. @AontuIE

The Gov. must engage.
End the threat of the Army on our streets.
Meet the protest representatives.
End the excessive fuel taxation.
Extend the diesel rebate to all businesses that rely on diesel and the agri sector.
#FuelCrisis#Aontú#FuelProtes
The government is taking 65% of each litre of diesel in tax.
They are taxing at a rate that people can not afford.
They are putting people out of business.
They must axe carbon tax now.
