👤مرحبًا ...أردت أن أستغل دقيقة من وقتكم لأتحدث عن بعض الأمور التي قلتها هذا الأسبوع بشأن BTS والارمي.

👤انظروا، لقد أخطأت في نطق اسم جونقكوك. أخطأت فيه تمامًا. وبالنظر إلى الأمر الآن، كان ينبغي أن أستغرق بضع ثوانٍ فقط لأتأكد م�� أنني أعرف الطريقة الصحيحة لنطق اسمه، لكنني لم أفعل ذلك. لقد أخطأت، ولذلك أقدّم اعتذاري الصادق إلى جونغكوك عن ذلك. لم أقصد الإساءة بأي شكل من الأشكال.

👤أما بالنسبة إلى الارمي، فانظروا، لقد اتخذت موقفًا دفاعيًا بالفعل. وقلت بعض الأمور التي ما كان ينبغي لي أن أقولها، وهذا خطئي أيضًا. لقد انجرفت مع الموقف في لحظته، ولذلك أعتذر عن ذلك.

👤وبغضّ النظر عمّا قد تراه في ما قلته، فلا يمكن إنكار ما حققته BTS. أعني، انظروا إلى ما وصلوا إليه. إنهم إحدى أكبر الفرق في العالم، وقد بنوا مجتمعًا عالميًا ضخمًا، وهذا أمر مذهل حقًا.

👤كان ينبغي لي أن أتعامل مع الأمر برمّته بصورة أفضل، وهذا خطئي.

👤لكن الحقيقة هي أن الشغف الذي يكنّه الارمي لهؤلاء الشباب أمر مذهل حقًا. عندما تعمل في مجال الموسيقى، ترى ذلك بنفسك. ومن النادر جدًا أن تجد هذا النوع من الترابط بين الفنانين ومعجبيهم، وأنا أقدّر بالتأكيد هذا الشغف وأتفهم مصدره. ولهذا، أقدّر لكم استماعكم إليّ. شكرًا لكم.

@iHeartRadio Disrespecting the very people who showed up and packed your festival from day one, then calling them “losers” simply because they complained about sound issues — issues that were also pointed out by people outside the fandom — is completely unacceptable. Instead of acknowledging the criticism, explaining what happened, or simply apologizing, you chose to attack the people who attended and supported your event.

But dragging Jungkook into this and mocking his name crosses another line entirely. He traveled nearly 12 hours specifically to perform at your festival, went on stage for barely 15 minutes, and still gave it everything he had as the professional he is. Using his name as a joke when he had absolutely nothing to do with those complaints is incredibly disrespectful. Deliberately mocking a Korean name can also play into racist and xenophobic stereotypes that a media outlet should know better than to normalize.

This is also disrespectful to BTS as a whole. For years, they have always shown nothing but professionalism, kindness, and willingness to participate in iHeartRadio shows and events. Whenever they have been invited, they have given their time and treated everyone with respect. The very least they deserve in return is that same respect.

We demand a public apology from @TheWoodyShow to BTS, and especially to Jungkook, for mocking his name. We also expect iHeartRadio to address what happened and take it seriously. Criticism about problems at an event can be addressed and explained. Insulting your own audience and turning one of the artists who showed up for your festival into the punchline is not an acceptable response.

We expect accountability: a public acknowledgment of what was said, a clear apology to Jungkook and BTS, and an apology to the ARMYs who were disrespected.

You invited the audience. You took their money. You owe them basic respect.
