This helps me understand why some folks may have misinterpreted a comment I made a while back. Apologies for my choice of Twitter name. I am indeed a WRA, not an MRA.
Embarrassing revelation of my cluelessness time, and a clarification: MRA = my initials and Psycho is short for psychotherapist (my job). I just discovered (courtesy of the urban dictionary) that MRA is also used as an acronym for Mens Rights Activism--a completely abhorrent idea

@some_qualia@carmenmmachado I'm sorry if my response read as offensive. I wasn't intending to "tell" anyone what to think about trauma, or Diaz, or anything else. IMHE trauma isn't gendered.
@some_qualia@carmenmmachado No, I am a huge fan of her work, and have immense respect for her integrity. I think her point is true--we should pause to consider how trauma begets trauma. I just felt the statement in respect to Diaz was provocatively dismissive--an ungenerous and misplaced criticism.
