Imran Khan revealed that the primary objective of the meeting was to discuss trade matters. Pakistan aimed to secure deals for oil, wheat, and even military hardware with Russia. However, the topic of the invasion naturally arose during their conversation.

Khan, known for his staunch anti-war stance, firmly believes that war is never the solution. Hence, he desired for the conflict between Russia and Ukraine to conclude as swiftly as possible.
