This is coming from a famous economist, so it's probably worth clarifying that there's no economics in this report showing that their degrowth pathway is either an ideal or likely decarbonization path. It's an opinion they work backwards from.

Happy to see this project, which started one year ago in Zambia, grown to something much bigger thanks to two great coauthors @jasmin_baier and @Prashant_Garg_ . Lots to explore on the atlas, we describe some interesting result in our companion paper.
🧵1/ Our first meta-science paper (with 350+ coauthors) is published today in Nature. It presents one of the largest-ever reproducibility projects in economics & political science.

Europeans always say that. "We need a fiscal union!! " Until you explain what that would have to mean for the fiscal sovereignty of their own country. Brussels would have to control the French/German/Spanish budget.

The Atlantic once again with a piece that panders to a very specific audience- people who are secretly ashamed of being bad at maths.
This is in stark contrast to me, a true gentleman, who is openly ashamed of being bad at maths.
