The scary thing here is that IMAX can't build any more new projectors. (They apparently don't have a complete set of the engineering blueprints, most of the engineers who designed them have retired or passed away, and the parts supply chains have long since dried up.) So the goal for the foreseeable future is to upgrade and keep all the existing projectors running for as long as they can.
It rocks how often "description of historical thing was nebulous" is entirely a result of modern misinterpretation of the thing. The axe wouldn't have been nebulous to a contemporary audience! They would have known exactly what it meant!
detail i love in every iteration of The Odyssey is shooting the arrow through the axes, bc it’s such a nebulously described task no one imagines it the same way
It begins to make sense why Platner was able to clear the board so quickly. The people of Maine have apparently never experienced a candidate with charisma before
Hard to explain what it was like when Brooklyn HQ poisoned this well. Voter registration and volunteer signup #'s skyrocketed with just a picture of pikachu saying "PGTP" taped to the back of a clipboard and some campaign funded lures, and then she fucking killed it over night.
It has officially been a whole decade since Hillary Clinton launched “Pokemon Go to the Polls” into the zeitgeist in Annandale, VA on July 14, 2016.
Sit with that for a minute.
I am hearing that on a 20 minute phone call with senate leadership Mitch McConnell received the light of Islam and unhesitatingly recited the Shahada. Even now he looks down on the Ummah from the gardens of Jannah. Truly there is no god but Allah, and Mohammad is his prophet!
I spoke to my old friend Mitch McConnell this morning, the senior Senator from Kentucky. He’s still recovering in the hospital. We talked for just shy of 45 minutes. He's so sharp. Just like always he let me do all of the talking. He's a great listener. After that we prayed silently for awhile and had a staring contest. Just like always, he beat me. I told him we want to see him back at work as soon as possible.
Like 2 weeks ago I was stuck in Penn station for 6 hours because of a train delay during the NBA playoffs and the world cup, and somehow I've managed to be getting another Amtrak at Penn tomorrow during Taylor's wedding, heatwave, and world cup. Truly god's toughest soldier
NYPD just released details on the street closures around Madison Square Garden tomorrow for Taylor Swift's wedding.
This reads like it might shut down an even bigger slice of the area around MSG than the NYPD did during the NBA Finals.
I feel like if you have a credible source saying he's retiring, you probably should run that story regardless of an announcement. But what do I know, I've never been an octogenarian access journalist who was best friends with one of her subjects
Apolitical judiciary is the law school tooth fairy. It's okay if you believe it going in, but frankly embarrassing to believe it by the time you leave.
