I would really like to hear the logical reason why fuels here along the Labrador Straits are outrageously more costly then just a 19 mile ferry crossing away. Diesel for example, is 52 cents a litre more expensive in L’anse au Loup than it is in St Barbe. This is mind blowing.
I understand that it delivered via tanker but there is no reason why diesel cannot be trucked across on the ferry as it doesn’t require a dedicated dangerous goods crossing.
