@clhubes Lol and here I was back in 2020 worrying that by missing out on stores etc my toddler won't learn social cues and how to behave in public. Turns out the pandemic did him a favor? (I do believe that without going in public kids can't learn how being in public works)
@PhDMumLife Hi! I took a SA break with some part time work outside my field. Felt similarly lost. Endee up applying to tons of jobs that allowed some balance and ended up in a new field that I love but the work isn't necessarily "PhD" level...but that's ok for me for now
@bessbell Our kids must have similar birthdays. Definitely a struggle. I'm just lucky he also has a little brother now, so he is forced to learn sharing etc
@mbaltesbr @maartoos I always say that and my husband gets mad at me for comparing everything to others. But why does it always seem like everyone else has it together, has happy well behaved kids, sleeps, and goes on dates and we are just barely juggling? Lol
When you want your child to have the best first day of (pre) school and the best birthday...and they are at the same time. Then you realize this timing will be the next 15 years....ahhhhh
@bereaved_mama I was told at 10 weeks they are "pretty sure" and it was confirmed later. If it's a boy they might be able to tell, if a girl it's less clear
Am I wrong not to trust a negative PCR taken one day after mild symptom onset and 4-6 days post exposure (unclear what day to count as exposure since it was thurs -sat with someone symptomatic on Monday or late Sunday). Am I torturing myself with no childcare for no good reason?
