Nigeria is truly a dysfunctional country.
As soon as power is restored, we scramble to plug in our devices.
Plug in phones. Plug in laptops. Plug in power banks. Plug in Wi-Fi routers and MiFi devices.
Rush to blend tomatoes and pepper. Rush to microwave food. Rush to pump water.
We scramble because we don’t know how long the light will last. We don’t know when next we’ll see it again.
This is not how you build a “one trillion-dollar” economy.
Energy is the backbone of every economy, irrespective of what the primary source of revenue is.
Whether a country earns its money from oil, agriculture, manufacturing, technology, tourism or financial services, none of these sectors can function efficiently without reliable energy.
And without reliable energy, most nations cannot function. Nations collapse.
Almighty. Keep us steadfast, enduring the trials You send our way. Grant us a soft heart, always content with Your Decree. Grant us sincerity, success & protect us from harm. Aameen
