I can make this very clear for you, this job is not a stepping stone job for Skip, this is a career job for him. He bleeds Bulldog red, his passion is unmatched for the program and the players alike.

Skip bled on the field as a Bulldog. He embodies what Fresno State athletics once was and needs to get back to. He is respected, honest, loyal, a great teacher, a fierce competitor, and anyone that has been around him will tell you that he’s more than just a great teammate, he is one hell of a man.

Tim Skipper has earned the right to be the head coach of your football program. He has paid his dues, he did it all the right way and never burnt a bridge. If you were to hire damn near anybody else, your program would become a steppingstone program.

If you combined that with the fact that your facilities, and stadium need a significant upgrades, which isn’t happening anytime soon, your program won’t get back to being what it once was.

You need somebody that understands the culture, that understands the valley, and that can lead under these tough circumstances. Skip will bring toughness back to the program, and make you proud that he is your head coach.

DO THE RIGHT THING and hire Skip! It is the right move for the present and future of your program.
