We are out of stealth! This is Distance Technologies, a company me and a few others founded some 150 days ago. We are doing glasses-free XR for automotive, aviation and beyond. See the launch video at: https://t.co/yihTGsQBB3
@UnityQAThomas @gekido Yeah you're probably fine, but you can always get an expert to take a look at it, paid for by the neighbor's insurance, of course. Otherwise you might start seeing cracks in the basement walls after a few years.
@UnityQAThomas @gekido That may also affect the house foundations, depending on how deep they're built, as the collapsed area is pretty close to the house...
Please @microsoft. Don't discontinue the Sculpt Ergonomic keyboard. Nothing I've tried feels as comfortable as this one and is compact enough to keep my mouse close.
@runevision Even bigger issue, even if/when they walk this back, is that they claim to have the ability to unilaterally change the TOS to contain literally anything and have it be retroactively binding to all Unity users.
@baldurk No, that's not evil enough - how about this: Every time anybody takes a RenderDoc capture of an app that was developed using RenderDoc as a dev tool costs the original developer $100? Retroactively, of course.
@FreyaHolmer TBF the biggest obstacle was having the skybox not crash *any* of the supported devices: for example in some Windows Phone devices the div-by-zero exception wasn't masked out on a non-active lanes, so adding an if statement to prevent that didn't actually help at all. Good times.
@FreyaHolmer This one's on me: the atmospheric scattering code takes the first light and uses its direction as the sun position. When there are no lights in the scene the light direction becomes (0, 0, 0) and it looks like it's sunset everywhere. So, I'm responsible for the pooplands. Sorry!
