Each and everyday we must allow God to continually soften your heart so that it beats for what His heart beats for—people.
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. —1 John 4:7 (NLT)
Floored this clip from tonight’s show includes these words. I nearly tweeted them this AM. We’re so frightened of being defrauded by the fallen, we come shamefully close to denying their cross-bought right to repentance. No sin exceeds grace. But there’s fruit of repentance!
Give it time.
We want it quick. Jesus wants it deep.
We want relief. Jesus wants redemption.
We want it for me. Jesus wants it for many.
He knows what He’s doing. His timing is right. Let’s be patient. It’s folly to take into our own hands what Jesus alone can do with His.
God,
in the name of Jesus,
grant the people of Jesus
the heart of Jesus
to do the works of Jesus
in the ways of Jesus
till the return of Jesus
because the church of Jesus
is nothing without Jesus.
It’s been a harrowing trip to Oz for many evangelicals this year, the curtain pulled back on the wizards of cause. We found a Bible all right, seemingly used instead of applied, leveraged instead of obeyed, cut and pasted piecemeal into a pledge of allegiance to serve the served.
