📽️: "FDLR is within FARDC and it is known! it is in your reports. FDLR is assisted by the DRC
government, it is there, it is known, it is in your reports. MONUSCO cooperates with the DRC
government, DRC-Army, knowing FDLR is within DRC-Army.
And what MONUSCO does, and this is on record, is to avoid the units and the battalions in
which FDLR is deployed." -@martin_ngoga || Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Rwanda to the United Nations.

The other African leaders and countries were blaming #Rwanda, thinking that we are the ones who left the African processes, initiatives, and went to #Qatar or came here to Washington. But it was the very man, #Tshisekedi, #DRCongo, who actually initiated that. But the hope for him was he would be able to manipulate either the process in Qatar or the process in #WashingtonDC . in his favour, because he thinks the DRC is too great, too big, that the whole world is interested in having a portion of what they possess, and that he would go paying his way and manipulating people to get the results he wanted.
But when it came to us, and we were invited to participate even in Doha and here in Washington, we always came forward, but we told people what we thought were the facts and the fundamental issues that must be addressed if we are to look at the root causes. So that's how we ended up having #AFC_M23 in #Doha talking to government, and in here it was DRC talking to Rwanda, but also in the regional framework. That's why these leaders have been invited to witness this.

The African Union, you gave the continent hope. You came forward with solid plans. And to this day, we are still reading through the pages of your vision.

Work on reconciliation that had not happened before. You—we knew—who would go nowhere unless we reversed the politics of hatred and separation, separation and division, and so on. So, let’s try something else: so let’s agree that, irrespective of our differences, we can get along, we can work together. All right, you teach the population how to forgive and overcome the idea of revenge. How do you go about doing that? We must do something that allows people to build and hope for the future. We went to the homes of our citizens, and reconciliation was a kind of conversation, a discussion. Look, we have a lot of places to point fingers, but that doesn’t help; what helps is confronting the situation as we should.
President Kagame
“This conflict has lasted for thirty years. We have seen countless mediation efforts, but none succeeded in resolving the underlying issues. President Trump introduced a new and effective dynamism, that created the space for breakthroughs. His approach is even-handed, never taking sides. More importantly, President Trump’s approach is pragmatic. The process has not become an end in itself.
It is up to us, in Africa, working with our partners, to consolidate and expand this peace. There will be ups and downs on the road ahead, there is no doubt about it. Rwanda will not be found wanting. I assure you of that. Our only objective is, and has always been, for our country to be safe and secure, after having endured so much tragedy. We now only want to look forward, in confident expectation of a prosperous and stable future.” President Kagame | Signing Ceremony of the Washington Accord for Peace and Prosperity.
This afternoon, on the margins of #NEISA2025, PM Dr. Ngirente received Dr. Doto Mashaka Biteko, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy of Tanzania. Their discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation between Rwanda and Tanzania.
Are you at #NEISAfrica2025? Don't forget to pass by the exhibition area.
This is where ideas become partnerships.

“We have to live our lives, we have to live the way we want. And I tell anybody to his face, to go to hell. If anyone comes around and says we are going to sanction you. Go to hell. Just go to hell. You have your own issues to deal with. Go and deal with your own issues. Leave me to mine. This is the spirit Rwandans must have in their daily lives.” President Kagame | #Kwibuka31
Hey #genocide deniers, would you give us #peace please?
“There are 365 days in a year, give us that day of #commemoration, 7th of April, commemorate with us and you can have the rest, 364 days, blaming us for everything you don't like about us.”
“Il y a 365 jours dans une année, donnez-nous ce jour de #commémoration, le 7 avril, commémorez avec nous et vous pourrez avoir le reste, 364 jours, en nous blâmant pour tout ce que vous n'aimez pas chez nous.” - #President #Kagame
