Yesterday, we engaged our market women in Lafiagi and discussed the strides of the APC-led administration of Mallam AbdulRazaq in Kwara State. We highlighted the government’s achievements to the people, including cash empowerment initiatives for traders and other small-scale enterprises.
We emphasised that market women are the heartbeat of the local economy. They keep communities fed, keep commerce moving, and carry the daily burden of family and market life. No government can succeed without their strength, their honesty, and their support. When market women thrive, the state thrives.

EXPOSED: Senator Saliu Mustapha diverts community water project to personal aide's house while hundreds of villages yearn for water in Ilorin East

Lawmaker representing Kwara Central at the senate, Senator @RealMallamSaliu Mustapha, has been exposed for diverting a constituency project to a personal aide's house, thereby denying other constituents access to safe water in the community.

Sited at Zulukarnain street at Camics Estate, Sobi, the solar pump borehole is dug and installed inside the house of Mrs Khadijah Eyitanwa Lawal's house.

Eyitanwa serves as Media Assistant on Broadcast Media to the senator since 2024.

This project should have provided water to a whole community, but access to it is largely cut out due to the diversion to a fenced and gated house belonging to Saliu's aide and her husband.

The project alledged cost over N30 million.

Several people have started querying the decision.

It is immoral and unfair to put a public project in a private property of a close aide.

It is said that any of the hundreds of villages across Asa, Ilorin East, South and West could have been captured and benefitted from the project, thereby solving water problems at the grassroot.

Alanamu Ward Youths Dump PDP, Saraki Political Structure, Join APC

Prominent youths from Alanamu Ward, particularly Abata Subanu, have dumped the PDP and the Saraki political structure for the APC.

Among those who joined the APC are Comr. Ibrahim Alikinla, Comrade Ibrahim Abikan Orelope, Muhammed Abdullahi Ebodaniyan and Abdullqteef Olola.

The new members said their decision is based on their desire to put Kwara’s development above political sentiments. They described Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq as a progressive and transformative leader who has brought visible development to the state.

They pledged to support the APC and mobilise more youths across Alanamu Ward and Ilorin West ahead of 2027.

For them, it’s simple: development first, politics second. Alanamu youths are moving with progress.
