There is a staggering moral imbalance in the atmosphere surrounding this entire conflict.

A tiny Jewish state is expected to justify every action, every response, every strike, every word.

It is lectured by Europe.

Lectured by politicians.

Lectured by entire European and, increasingly, American media outlets.

Lectured by commentators.

Lectured by people sitting safely thousands of miles away in their comfortable homes.

Meanwhile, regimes that openly threaten, terrorize, torture, execute and destabilize entire regions are treated with astonishing leniency.

Astonishing.

That is exactly what makes me so angry.

What is being directed at Israel is not normal.

What I find particularly disturbing is how many people I would not have expected are now joining in.

Whether it is Trump with his remarks.

JD Vance hopping from talk show to talk show while criticizing Israel quite aggressively.

Or Elon Musk talking about “valid points.”

Suddenly everyone has advice for Israel.

Everyone knows what Israel should not do.

What Israel should not say.

How Israel should behave.

How Israel should defend itself.

How Israel should survive.

I see none of that same outrage directed at those who openly call for destruction!!

Those who openly massacre people in their streets.

I do not see the same pressure applied to those who finance extremism and help spread it far beyond their own borders to our western world...

I do not see the same moral standards being applied to everyone involved. Instead, I see a country that is under constant scrutiny, criticism and pressure, while its enemies are treated with remarkable caution and, at times, outright accommodation.

And yes, history makes it difficult to ignore the parallels🦋There have been times before when Jews became the convenient target of collective fears, frustrations and blame.

The language has changed, but the mechanism has not. And what angers me most is the hypocrisy.

If America First really means America First, then focus on America instead of Israel!

If Europe wants to lecture the world, then first explain why Europe can no longer protect its own streets, its own borders and its own values.

And if people want to talk about peace, then they should be honest about who spreads violence, who exports extremism and who is constantly expected to bear the consequences.

Because at some point it begins to feel as though the entire world is shouting at the only firefighter while the arsonists are still holding the matches.

And that is neither wisdom nor justice.

It is moral confusion.

And it is truly deeply wrong.

To be very clear: reality is very different from the rhetoric. The IDF takes extraordinary measures to mitigate civilian harm in Lebanon. In fact, as in Gaza, it employs more civilian harm mitigation measures than any military in past or current operations.

The IDF issues evacuation warnings through multiple channels including text messages, phone calls, voicemails, flyers, radio, television, and social media. It operates dedicated civilian harm mitigation cells, tracks civilian presence through drones, cell phone data, and other ISR capabilities, and uses rigorous targeting processes that include legal reviews and proportionality assessments for any planned strikes. Legal reviews at lowest tactical level, and with the ability (which happens often as well as command decisions not to strike based on all context) to override commander decisions, unlike any other military.

In southern Lebanon, these measures are particularly effective because civilians can move away from military objectives and active combat areas.

Even in Beirut, the IDF has repeatedly provided warnings identifying specific buildings that will be struck and when. The warnings have proven so reliable that Lebanese citizens and journalists have set up cameras in advance to record the strikes. When targeting Hezbollah senior leaders, command meetings, or other military objectives in densely populated areas such as Dahiyeh (the Hezbollah controlled neighborhood of Beirut), the IDF relies on precision-guided munitions, small diameter munition (warheads with less explosives), and other low collateral damage munitions, detailed intelligence, and other methods designed to limit collateral damage while achieving the legitimate military objective.

There is also no equivalency. Israel does not intentionally target civilians. Hezbollah is a U.S.-designated terrorist organization whose strategy includes deliberately attacking civilians. Hezbollah launches rockets, missiles, and drones at civilian communities in northern Israel (daily, despite any cease fires), targeting homes, schools, businesses, and civilian infrastructure.

One side conducts legal reviews, proportionality assessments, civilian warnings, and precision strikes against military objectives. The other is a international designated terrorist group that intentionally places military assets among civilians while deliberately targeting civilians.

A haunting, forgotten chapter of WWII:

In 1940, Canada imprisoned 2,300+ Jewish refugees — many of them teenagers and scholars fleeing Hitler — in internment camps alongside actual Nazis.

This is the uniform they were forced to wear.

Look at that red circle. It turned every prisoner into a walking bullseye.

They were shipped across the Atlantic in filthy holds (while Nazi POWs rode comfortably upstairs), then locked in places like Camp N in Sherbrooke, Quebec. One water tap for 900 men. Sadistic guards. Letters from home ripped up in front of them. A prisoner who panicked and ran for the fence was shot dead.

These weren’t enemy aliens. They were Jewish boys and men who had escaped the Nazis — only to be treated as threats by the countries they hoped would save them.

Many later became Nobel laureates, orchestra directors, and leading scientists.

A dark reminder of how even “safe” nations closed their hearts — and how resilient the Jewish people had to become.
