I think something I’ve been struggling to understand lately, is this constant need to dissect SEVENTEEN’s dynamic.

A friend recently told me, “I wish this member wouldn’t treat that member like that.” And my immediate, unfiltered thought was… well, call them then. Let them know.

Because honestly, when people start micromanaging every single interaction, analyzing tones of voice, reading into five seconds of silence, treating inside jokes like red flags, it completely ruins the point of being a fan.

We only see what they choose to put in front of a camera or choose to write. That’s it. Catching a curated ten-minute clip doesn’t mean we’ve been sitting in the dorms with them for the last fourteen years. They’ve grown up together; they’ve fought, made up, developed their own boundaries, and lived through countless private moments that will never make it to an edit. And they shouldn’t have to.

Turning someone’s real-life friendship into a case study just sucks the joy out of everything.

Sometimes an offhand joke is just a joke. Sometimes someone quiet is literally just exhausted. Affection doesn’t look identical for every person, and not every interaction needs to fit our personal comfort zone to be healthy.

They are allowed to have an entire world between them that has nothing to do with us, and frankly, that’s one of the best parts of following them for this long. We can just appreciate what they share without feeling entitled to psychoanalyze the rest.

So yeah, whenever I see someone agonizing over how 13 grown men choose to talk to each other, the only reasonable response really is: go call them and tell them yourself.

Because if fourteen years of history haven't broken them, your two-minute clip analysis definitely isn't the missing piece of the puzzle.
