Disability accomodations are not about giving disabled people an advantage... they're about giving disabled people equal access to things that non disabled people can access without help.
Also, just because you don't see the disability doesn't mean it's not there.

How does nonrandom mating influence plant fitness in purple loosestrife? Assortative mating reduces fitness (reduced seed weight and germination), but outbreeding depression among distance populations under stress. Great talk M. J. Gómez Quijano! @ColauttiLab #Evol2024
First it was the strange hue of the trees now it’s a real life nightmare.
This is very hard to take, it must be shared because none of us can escape this.
A catastrophe like we’ve never known is unfolding & exploding at an incredible rate. 🧵

1 in 10 of the top 100 ‘best’ scientists are named Michael or Eric, but only 3% are female, according to @guide2research. Putting aside the obvious flaws of the H-index, these numbers are disheartening. Thanks to @mbeisen for sharing. https://t.co/zSmvmrNh09

Here I am contemplating my future, a month before I joined @mcgillu as a prof in 2001. Since then, much has changed - except for @NSERC_CRSNG scholarships, which remain stuck in a time warp. Grad students are the engines of research & must be better supported. #SupportOurScience
The Royal College of Psychiatrists (@rcpsych) say non-adapted therapies for autistic people are ineffective at best, and harmful at worst.
I’m not saying don’t give autistic people therapy, or even CBT. But we need therapies to be adapted because our brains work differently.
When women express pain, they are often perceived to be overestimating their symptoms or over-reacting (and being hysterical). As I discuss in Hysterical, ultimately it is rooted in the long history of medical misogyny, of hysteria, where most illnesses in women are seen to be 'of the mind' or psychosomatic, due to their nervous nature.
