Henry Kravis on VC firms trying to attempt the private equity rollup strategy using AI
"The problem today is that [multiple] arbitrage is closing. Small companies are waking up and saying I wont sell my company at 6x when I look at comparables and they are selling at 15x"
Big companies can’t be people first. Its just not in the cards. It feels far more human to be and run as a small company. Its a privilege to operate like a tribe.
@sweatystartup People and buyers are just making decisions more carefully. Theyre still net spending just not as frivolously as the pandemic-cash-flush era
My hardware stack:
(1) Trezor hardware wallet to hold my seed phrase and keys
(2) Zeus crypto tag to back up seed phrase.
Need to hide both of these like a murder weapon now.
With the release of the form 1099-DA for crypto, I’m seeing a lot more interest in hard wallets. For those that aren’t OG hodlers (me included), that’s a physical wallet to hold crypto. Time to get this set up, without knowing what I’m doing. HELP
You will never see anything like the Dodgers’ ninth inning again. They needed:
- Miguel Rojas’s game-tying HR
- IKF not taking a secondary lead while running on contact
- Rojas’s terrific play to the plate
- Andy Pages’s bonkers catch
If just one doesn’t happen, Jays win.
Shohei Ohtani has officially put together the greatest athletic performance of our lifetime.
6 shutout innings, 10 strikeouts & 3 HRs
We’re watching the greatest baseball player of all-time
@PEoperator My favorite managers / partners would play dumb “Im probably missing something but I think X should be here” and it was somehow rewarding. Felt like a girl asking to open a jar. No problem, let me fix it …
@sweatystartup Felt like being a teenage dad was a cheat code. Life was tough in the early years. But working with a weighted vest makes you stronger / faster. Now I got a kid in college (Big 10) and at 37 and I’m pumped about outrunning the field at the annual dad’s weekend 5k
I'll end the night with this: All the pressure of this NLDS is on the Phillies.
Yes, the Dodgers spend the most money in Major League Baseball. Yes, they've deferred millions of dollars and signed multiple high-profile free agents this winter.
But unlike the Phillies, they're coming off a 2024 World Series Championship.
This may very well be the Phillies' last shot with this current group of players to win the World Series, and LA steals Game One tomorrow... oh boy
