1/ My current project involves learning about the conventions of painting portraits, figures and narratives developed by Ancient Greek painters over an approx. 200 year period (550-350 B.C.). I’ve been developing my own images in @procreate as I get the hang of the conventions.
@ngadc I saw the show and found the evidence underlying their conclusion far from compelling. Maybe the curators dumbed things down for a general audience, but their bases seemed thin. Visually, to me, it’s a Vermeer.
For me, right when I wake up, at dawn, is the best time. I suspect other artists are night owls, but that few are most productive in the middle of the day.
Do any artists/creators out there ever feel like you’ve only got about 3-4 hours a day, tops, to do your best work, and outside of that window, your skills just aren’t there. I try to guard that time fiercely. #artisticprocess#twitterartists#NFTCommunity
Standing Women From Behind. Not sure why, or if its even knowable, but it seems like the majority of nude figures I’ve seen on Ancient Greek vases are male. Our culture, on the other hand, leans in the opposite direction. #digitalart#pfp#nftcommunity#figurative#portrait
