@ryanmcmaken I think its not that complicated. Two things are simultaneously true: Darryl is a fantastically talented storyteller and writer. Also, Darryl has trouble discerning fact from fiction. He's very talented as an artist, horribly bad as an analyst or journalist.

@michaelshermer Michael, it seems like you are not following what is happening in the video. She's not saying they will harass the agents later, she's referring to agents potentially showing up at her home. Thats why she says "we don't change our plates"

@conorsen I think its more like, do you want your kids to have the opportunity to have some of the most fun a human can have? At an expert level, skiing is insanely thrilling. Doing double blacks at western resorts is a peak experience, no pun intended.

@NYCDailyCommute @admcrlsn Because the goal wasn't just revenue collection, it was increased quality of life by having less car-jammed streets. Have you spent time in NYC? The thing where they shut streets down and make them into public areas is amazing, feels almost european. This is in pursuit of that.

@RossBarkan The 2nd part really made it hit home. If I didn't know so many zionists personally who feel comfortable telling me about their apathy for slaughtered children because I am also jewish, it would be easier to side with Israel. Suspect the same is true of many like me.

@RossBarkan No stats on this, but as a jew under 40: feels like it was the combo of seeing copious video of carnage in Gaza + personally knowing many many pro-israeli folks who make clear that they don't care how many palestinian kids die. Know many in my cohort who feel the same.
