@edmcgreal The season ticket definitely is not value for money but the conditions for qualifying for the final tickets were very clear from the start. I suppose after the Roscommon game people didn't expect the team to reach the final and that may have played a part in decision making.

@cormacpro @MayoClub51 I wasn't even hopeful going into the Connacht final! The fact that we came so close on the day and couldn't finish out the game was massively disappointing. Re the Cavan loss, I don't think it was unrealistic for us to expect a win there. Sadly we were so off the pace there.

@bobdebilde @GAALeagueTables I don't think they were turning their noses up and I don't think it's fair to say that they didn't put in the effort. Unfortunately we're not on a par with Kerry at the moment and that's the honest truth about it

@GarNob @NormaFoleyTD1 @1Hildegarde And teachers' opinions about suitable school setting are never included in official reports from psychologists. So why is it that our recommendations are now to form part of this legal process but were not deemed relevant or expert enough before now?

@GarNob @NormaFoleyTD1 @1Hildegarde Another issue I have is the list of services that teachers may recommend as part of this process including school setting and assistive tech. In any application for both a letter from a psychologist or OT is necessary. 1

@SadlierMuireann It was said at the INTO Special Education symposium last weekend. A colleague of mine was there. Not met with a very positive reaction as you can imagine.

@simonmlewis @bmagpie31 I always had huge concerns with the allocation of hours for complex needs as it only applied to children entering Junior Infants. We have had quite a number of children who presented with complex needs as they went through school and received diagnoses later.

@gavreilly @GaryGannonTD Even before extending the deadline, not all applicants were going to be successful. It is an absolute joke that this is how funding is distributed. Especially considering the focus the gov wants to place on STEM education in Ireland. It is also a very expensive curriculum area.

@gavreilly @GaryGannonTD They would be better spending that money on improving pay and conditions for those working in disability services, especially the CDNTs. Then there might be a chance of attracting more staff to provide even the basic therapies needed. Currently, they can't retain or attract staff

@NaAmadan This is not just due to teacher shortages. SET often has to cover classes where a teacher is on self certified sick leave where we're not entitled to sub cover and where it is not possible to split a class up.

@PrimEdTeacher We had 2 newly appointed teachers to our ASD classes this time last year who could not get a place on the NSCE course for newly appointed teachers, even though the course was online. It was capped at 40. The next time the course was offered was the following March!!!
