Ed McGinty could make his Ireland debut against Canada, a decade on from moving to Donegal with college, not football, on his mind. Spoke to a few people about the chance phone call that took him to Sligo Rovers and changed the course of his career

My postcard has arrived where I write about the Champions Festival in Heroes Square - site of famous Victor Orbán speech in 1989 calling for the Russians to go home, League of Ireland mentions in the match programme to crisp eating during the penalty shootout ahead of PSG party:
On the eve of the Champions League Final, Arsenal brought the noise to their training session in the Puskás Aréna with a boombox blasting out a dance soundtrack but after the final the tunes seeping into the media area were those coming from the celebrating PSG dressingroom party
Thoughts from last night in the Puskás Aréna on PSG win from the player of the match and from the victorious Head Coach - only Carlo Ancelotti has managed more teams to Champions League glory.
It is an earlier kick-off time than normal for this evening's Champions League Final. We get going at 6pm local time in Budapest for the clash of PSG and Arsenal - a 5pm start Irish time.

Ireland call ups for the Hoops bring back great memories for Graham Burke - playing in the Stade de France and scoring for Ireland at the Aviva https://t.co/g11rPOcOZO
On the eve on the last league visit for the Hoops to Dalymount Park before its redevelopment, I've looked back on some memorable moments for Rovers in the venue - from the controversial first game in 1915, famous European nights against Man Utd & Bayern and special FAI Cup wins.
