I think I want to go camping. But do I really? Actually…camp? I dunno. I do have severe asthma, multiple food and other allergies, and a 53 year old back. My last camping trip involved the ER. But…Keji would be cool!!!
@just_quen I’ve also just bought two pairs of “weird little shoes”. They’re awesome because they’re very high quality but crazy cheap (Cole Haan for $7…what??) because no one else wants them 😂😂😂
I have purchased some really vintage (i.e. old) clothing and shoes in the last two weeks and it’s all making me soooo happy!! I am possibly going to look a little weird but it’s gonna be my brand of weird. Here’s my newest.
So my bank card got filled with unauthorized charges. By Walmart Canada!! Hundreds of dollars.
Cancelling my delivery service and deleting all my cards. And getting a new VISA. So angry!!
I had a medically rough 10 years where I didnt buy many new clothes. I’m now replacing my wardrobe and I’ve noticed that textiles have really changed. There aren’t as many 100% cotton or linen fabrics out there, and I prefer those, but heck me, some of these blends feel amazing
Dear Gen X,
I’ve been watching 80s movies and I just need to know…WHERE WERE YOUR PARENTS??
Every child was just wandering the earth unsupervised like a raccoon with house keys. Riding bikes across town at midnight, fighting ghosts, investigating murders, befriending cryptids, hacking government computers for funsies…
And the parents were ALWAYS “out of town” or “working late” while the only adult-adjacent supervision was some random 16-year-old who got dragged into the chaos.
No cell phones. No helmets. No adult supervision. Just vibes, life lessons, and several near-death experiences.
You all weren’t “raised.” You were lightly monitored feral creatures with a bike and unresolved trauma.
I’m genuinely shocked there are enough of you left to populate an entire generation.
@LeslieBall29 It’s becoming almost uninhabitable in parts of Europe in the summer but I would have thought you might be safe in May. Take care and enjoy!!
Once again, let’s review. 8 am is not an appropriate time to haul out your smelly loud gas mower on a holiday Monday.
9 is the generally accepted time, but I think even that is pushing it on a holiday. Relax a little people. Leave the dandelions to the bees for a few more hours.
So I seem to be having a mild but obvious allergic reaction to Botox. It’s the only thing that has treated migraine for me so I’m feeling a little frantic right now. My immune system is not a friend.
@DiaryofaSickGrl People are actually out there toasting crusty French bread and eating it without issues I’ve heard.
I don’t have a diagnosis of EDS but relate hard to this thread
@NeilFlochMD I’ve had a few lifelong chronic conditions. Always took meds. I much prefer my weekly, biweekly, and q3monthly shots to daily pills (which I take many). I also have inhalers, a nasal spray, and a patch. Prefer them too. Maybe I’m weird but pills are fairly joyless.
@yogastephy I once had a cooling scarf. You dampened it and then it had some gel in it that kept it damp and cool for hours. It looked like a pretty scarf. Actually think I got it at Tilley but it wasn’t super pricey. (Now that you mention it, I should find that, it’s awesome)
My gut feeling about the car was correct. We now have new brake rotors and pads along with the fresh oil and wiper blades. But it’s humming like a new VW again so that’s good.
Mine are M*A*S*H, Schitt’s Creek, and ER. But I need some new ones. Does anyone else have good ones? Hubby’s is West Wing which is also great but doesn’t stream so we have to drag out the DVDs.
@LeslieBall29 Am I the only person who reaches a certain threshold of grease intake and then feels sick all day? Because this would be waaaay over that threshold.
