Ontario’s #firefighters applaud Ontario’s government for recognizing the risks associated with being a firefighter & adding thyroid & pancreatic cancers to Ontario’s presumptive legislation. #ONPoli#ONHealth@fordnation@MonteMcNaughton @MPPKerzner MEDIA:https://t.co/AH4HeeXwLv

I've toured multiple firehalls across ON to thank our #EverydayHeroes for all they do to protect us.
I've learned first-hand about the precautions put in place to keep our firefighters safe, such as the appropriate way to sanitize uniforms after use.

Firefighters work in complex environments which can result in carcinogenic exposures, which can sadly lead to cancer diagnoses.
To support our firefighters, we've invested $6M in the Occupational Cancer Research Centre to identify causes of workplace cancers & prevent them.
Over 11,000 professional #FireFighters in #ON put their lives on the line to serve their communities & protect our families.
Today, I thanked the #EverydayHeroes of @opffa & discussed our plan to ensure every firefighter comes home to their loved ones at the end of their shift.
Fantastic meeting the #EverydayHeroes at @oakvillepffa Station 7.
They work day in and day out to keep the people of Oakville safe, and our government will always have their backs.
I had a great time catching up with one of my best friends, Eric MacFadden at the @OPFFAHealth conference. We both grew up in Newbury. Platoon Captain @macfadden57 has been a firefighter in Barrie for 25 years. We are thankful to all our heroic firefighters. 🙏
Our government stands with the sisters and brothers of Ontario's firefighter community.
Thank you Minister @MonteMcNaughton for your continued support! @opffa
Every day, Ontario's 11,000 professional firefighters proudly serve their communities.
Today, I thanked the members of the @opffa for their hard work, bravery and dedication.
