Animal lover and animal rights supporter.Independence is the prevailing wind to carry Scotland into a brighter future. No Tories racists bigots or animal haters
Legislation to restrict fireworks in Scotland has passed by 84 votes to 0.
It means members of the public will need a licence to buy and use fireworks, while firms will have to check if those buying pyrotechnics have a licence.
Fireworks can only be used at certain times too.
@ScottishJill Not a fan of buses, tend to avoid them, particularly with Stagecoach (heard some horror stories). But if you have no option, what do you do. Here they are every two hours and none of them will get you into the local towns for the start of work. People will end up stranded
As this hellish Westminster horror continues, they are now considering raising the retirement age to 70 in the future. I have an old friend who can't find work due to his age. At one time, he would have been one year from retirement, now he's three years away.
@ScottishJill And just at the time when Stagecoach are dropping services. I was talking to a couple from Dumfries & Galloway who said the bus service is atrocious since Stagecoach pulled their service. I hear they are dropping services elsewhere, including Glasgow.
Just a wee thank you to all who have followed me on here. I have enjoyed many conversations with some very clever and interesting people. Had a laugh, had a cry, dreamed of independence along that journey. And that's what it's all about.
@ScottishJill Now considering 75 Jill. If you live in a rural setting and require a car for work, the 70's medicals may push in and stop you. If you lose work,NO ONE will take you on at that age. No thought given to how people survive, I'm alright Jack brigade. Reconsidering France just now.
HMS Westminster has come to rest, taking in water. Pensioners and those on welfare have already been pushed overboard to reduce weight. Those still aboard have been told costs are going up along with food rationing. The folder marked "Managed Decline" will go down with the ship.
Growing up in Glasgow, my Dad had many sayings to live by. One of them I can remember, "Son never trust a bank." I am beginning to understand that now. Most of us have more or less given up on cash, which could be a big mistake-given their cooperation with corrupt government.

Corbyn's new unionist party to launch version in Glasgow, making it 6th oppressor party in Scotland
The new left-wing political party founded by former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and MP Zarah Sultana will launch its first Scottish branch at a public assembly in Glasgow next month.
The party has no fixed name as yet, currently called 'Your Party', BYOB. (Last bit not true.)
The branch launch of Your Party comes ahead of the Holyrood elections in May 2026, with reports suggesting the sixth unionist party to hold back Scotland will field candidates north of the border.
Former Labour cast out Corbyn is also expected to address a picket later today, Friday, at a Glasgow hotel where workers are engaged in an historic strike action - assuming he can be given directions to find Glasgow from London.
Corbyn has an ambivalent attitude to Scotland's civil and constitutional rights, feeling we should remain one of England's last colonised territories, yet be given another referendum, but only when Westminster decides we will lose.
If we don't wake up soon, Scotland will begin being overlorded by a far-right-wing dictatorship, which will make dictators of the past seem almost benevolent. Oh no, hang on a second, we're already there😱
