Today marked another significant milestone in the journey of our great party as I formally received the presidential nomination forms of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and His Excellency, Vice President Kashim Shettima, GCON, ahead of the 2027 general election. It was a defining moment that reaffirmed our collective resolve to sustain the Renewed Hope Agenda and deepen the progress already being recorded across the country.

The nomination forms were presented on behalf of President Tinubu by his Special Adviser on Political and Other Matters, Hon. Ibrahim Masari, during a well-attended ceremony at the Continental Hotel, Abuja. The presentation underscored the confidence of our party in the leadership of President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima as they prepare to seek a renewed mandate from the Nigerian people.

The event brought together an impressive array of leaders of our great party, including the Chairman of the Progressive Governors' Forum and Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, alongside Governors Mai Mala Buni, Nasir Idris, Abba Kabir Yusuf, Uba Sani, Babagana Umara Zulum, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, as well as other governors, party executives and critical stakeholders from across the federation.

The atmosphere was one of unity, confidence and shared purpose. As we move towards 2027, the All Progressives Congress remains focused on strengthening its grassroots support, consolidating the achievements of the Renewed Hope Agenda and working together to build a more prosperous, secure and inclusive Nigeria for all.

Nigeria's youthful population, expanding technology ecosystem, and thriving culture of innovation remain some of our nation's greatest assets in attracting global investment and driving sustainable development.

As I stated during my keynote address at the 15th West Africa Convergence Conference (WACC 2026), technology will continue to play a central role in building a more prosperous, inclusive, and globally competitive Nigeria. Together, we must continue to invest in innovation, empower our young people, and create the digital future our nation deserves.

Earlier today, I attended the 15th West Africa Convergence Conference (WACC 2026) and the 50 Most Influential Figures in Nigeria's Digital Economy Recognition Ceremony in Lagos.

The conference provided a valuable platform for discussions on how technology can accelerate economic growth, strengthen governance, create jobs, attract investment, and position Nigeria as Africa's digital powerhouse.

A key message from the event was that Nigeria's journey towards a $1 trillion economy will be driven not only by economic reforms and infrastructure development, but also by strategic investments in digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence, fintech, broadband connectivity, and digital literacy.

The conversations highlighted the immense potential of Nigeria's youthful population, growing technology ecosystem, and thriving innovation culture, which continue to attract global attention and investor confidence.

As we look to the future, it is clear that technology will remain central to building a more prosperous, inclusive, and globally competitive Nigeria.

APC Chairman Represents Tinubu at Flag-Off of Collector Road CO1 in Abuja

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, on Tuesday represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the flag-off of the construction of Collector Road CO1 in the Institution and Research District.

The road project, which starts from the Nile University area and extends to Ring Road III, was flagged off at Nile University, Abuja.

According to officials, the road is intended to improve connectivity within the Institution and Research District, providing better access for students, academics, researchers, legal practitioners, and residents, while linking the area to Ring Road III and other parts of the Federal Capital Territory.

Prof. Yilwatda stated that the project follows the completion of the first phase of the corridor connecting the Body of Benchers, Nile University, and Baze University. That phase is expected to be commissioned as part of activities marking three years of the current administration.

He commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and the FCTA team for their work on infrastructure development in Abuja.

APC CONSTITUTES NATIONAL CAMPAIGN COUNCIL FOR EKITI STATE GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION

The National Campaign Council is chaired by Governor Uba Sani, with Senate President Godswill Obot Akpabio serving as Vice Chairman. Its membership comprises serving governors, former governors, principal officers of the National Assembly, and other prominent Party leaders drawn from across the country.

The Party has also established several sub-committees covering Election Planning and Management, Finance and Resource Mobilisation, Grassroots Engagement and Mobilisation, Logistics and Campaign Management, Protocol, Media and Publicity, Security, Women's Mobilisation, Youth Mobilisation, and Secretariat Functions.

APC ANNOUNCES GUIDELINES AND COMMITTEES FOR 2026 PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARIES

The All Progressives Congress (APC) hereby announces the Guidelines for the conduct of the Party’s 2026 Presidential Primaries, as well as the composition of the Presidential Primary Election and Appeal Committees, including the appointment of State Coordinators and Collation Officers.

The decisions were approved by the Party’s National Working Committee (NWC) in accordance with the Constitution of the Party, the Electoral Act, and APC’s commitment to transparent and credible primary election process.

APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Attends Moslun 2026 Festival in Hometown Dungung

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, on Saturday joined his people in the ancient Ngas community of Dungung to celebrate the 2026 edition of the sacred Moslun festival.

Moslun is a revered traditional worship observed by the Ngas people to mark the end of the dry season and usher in the new planting season. The festival is deeply rooted in the cultural and spiritual heritage of the Ngas ethnic group.

This year’s celebration witnessed an impressive turnout, with thousands of residents, friends, and associates of the Ngas people converging in Dungung in a show of solidarity and cultural pride. The event was marked by colourful displays of tradition, drumming, dancing, and communal prayers.

Prof. Yilwatda’s attendance at the festival underscores his strong connection to his roots and commitment to preserving Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage while balancing his national leadership responsibilities within the APC.

Burundi Ambassador Congratulates APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda

The Ambassador of Burundi to Nigeria, Édouard Nduwimana, paid a courtesy visit to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, to congratulate him on his emergence as the party’s National Chairman.

The visit follows the APC’s National Congress held in March 2026, where Prof. Yilwatda was elected to lead the ruling party.
During the meeting, Ambassador Nduwimana commended Prof. Yilwatda’s leadership and expressed appreciation for his contributions to strengthening diplomatic and political ties between Nigeria and Burundi.

“Such engagements continue to deepen mutual cooperation between both countries,” the Ambassador noted.
