@Zawg1000@NoodleVEVO the idea that everything bungie did was some revelation from god himself needs to die. The original trilogy echoed a lot of design attributes from games of its time as well, yet people can't help but worship it like it's free of flaw & as if they were built entirely on 'soul'.
Halo is better when you stop listening to the depressed kids from 2004 who never went to therapy and hate everything in life.
Trust me. Think for yourself. Hop off Twitter. Enjoy what you want to enjoy!
@LewdMansion@jgutierrez55 no one's arguing that the game industry is the same as before, we're asking for bare minimum features at launch. The social system in Halo Infinite is abysmal, half the game modes & features were rolled out slowly to artificially inflate the games life span etc
@savior71174715 @RyaiArt@strainedButtons he drew for 10 minutes a day for the first 30 days and about hour till day 100. I'm busy, I have uni & work, but even I can spare that much time
@henrybadger19 you're asking bungo boys to understand a narrative that's a tad more complicated than "HUR DUR GREEN MAN KILL THE COLORFUL ALIENS", asking for a bit much there bro
@Dracvich@rockisinfinite it often confuses me how a game with practically infinite (pun intended) funding trickles out such little & simplish content, there seems to be no wow factor to the game. I spent the past couple hours playing through older Halos and was honestly surprised how full those games are
@Dracvich@rockisinfinite mmm you have a point, but I still feel like Halo Infinite underperforms greatly to its potential. There's some sort of ceiling to how compelling this franchise can be & I think it's just not high enough to warrant an award in this day and age.
@rockisinfinite I may sound like some sheep hater but honestly I don't think Infinite should be rewarded for just 'filling the gaps' it launched with. Speaks volumes that pretty much the only positive content on Halo youtube is "ITS FINALLY HERE' 'THEY FINALLY FIXED IT'
@rockisinfinite yeah no I meant more like the title "BEST xyz" when I said prestigious. Nothing about Infinite is that remarkable. Games have been doing what Infinite does for years. If Infinite brought something new to the table over time then it would earn that title imo
@ZillaIsSpidey @Hyper_Falcon@evolved117 I think for me Halo Infinite doesn't look homogeneous. Everything sort of stands out weirdly, almost like a retextured TF2 retextured w better shaders. Also the lack of bloom is confusing because that's where 90% of the awe of H3's first mission was for me.
@Hyper_Falcon@evolved117 CE was trying to look like toy soldiers lol it was the best they could do with the hardware at the time. Just because older games look cartoonish doesn't mean it's part of their artistic direction. Halo Infinite often looks like it's having a hard time with how it wants to look
@DareToEntertain 'its simplified & realistic' is just a poor argument imo, the guns should like futuristic gizmos. While H5 often overdid the designs, I think Halo Infinite underdoes with a lot like the Hydra, the magnum and (controversial opinion) the Battle Rifle.
@DareToEntertain The community's obsession with simplicity is just confusing. In the early days weapons were trying to look as techy as possible (within the confines of their graphics & art style ofc)
Now that the graphical fidelity is WAY higher, a lot of simpler designs just look incomplete
@LateNightHalo "HUD goo" as you described it once, singlehandedly ruins the visual appeal of Halo Infinite for me. This is so much better.
Bring back RvB & immersive HUD experiences.
