@marwilliamson@eneldiluvio They don't believe in data or science, Marianne. Trying to argue with them about it is like beating a dead horse, where the horse is their brain.
I'm blown away by how much @DragonsDogma#DragonsDogma2 has improved in terms of performance. I'm getting consistent ~60 FPS, sometimes higher, when traversing the game, even in the main city right now. It now feels like a finished product, and a contender for #GOTY.
@harris_wins And to be clear, I'm not saying Trump doesn't have his own issues. But this is just one of many reasons I distrust politicians on both the right AND the left.
@harris_wins To be completely fair, when America voted for Biden & Harris, nowhere in their campaigning did they mention they would be creating backdoors for immigrants. This is a slap in the face to all other immigrants who had to go through the normal, legal process to enter this country.
A weird trance-like denial regarding the danger of nuclear bombs has fallen on the American mind over the last several decades, moving us from “Ban the bomb” to “Let’s just talk about something else.”
This happened because we allowed the power of the war machine to diminish our propensity for critical thought.
There seems to be a new awakening now, not only to the risks but to the abject horrors of nuclear war. We cannot continue to depend on brute force as our primary problem-solving option. If we do not evolve beyond that we will literally not survive ourselves.
There is still time but we need to wake up fast.
If you think everyone at a Trump rally (or anyone else’s rally ) is evil, then you’re part of the problem and not the solution. I have given my blood sweat and tears over this last year and a half seeking an opportunity to defeat Donald Trump at the ballot box, but I have good friends who are Republicans and good friends who are Trump supporters. Nothing is more important right now than we remember this: other people do not owe it to us to agree with us, no one has a monopoly on truth, and this country doesn’t belong to just some of us - it belongs to all of us.
@JoeBiden If you truly care about America and democracy, then listen to the people and call for a democratic debate between other candidates. Stop acting like you're the only choice.
@JoeBiden I'll just be voting for @marwilliamson at this point. Please just drop out of the race and let her, or even @KamalaHarris, be the democratic nominee?
Whelp... I lasted a few episodes before giving up on #AvatarNetflix and going back to the original. Leave it to @netflix to ruin another potentially great show. 😔
Oh... My God. They completely changed up what was supposed to be the meeting with Avatar Roku to warn of the incoming comet and moon spirit attack, and gave it to Avatar Kyoshi instead while they're on the island? Why are you rushing the storyline SO MUCH, @netflix?
#AvatarNetflix#AvatarTheLastAirbender Liking the first episode so far! *But* I'm feeling a bit disappointed with Iroh's performance? He's not giving the same wise, care free elder vibe that the animated Iroh gave. Did he even watch the series and study the original Iroh? 😭
Another subtle change I'm having mixed feelings about... Katara blocks Zuko's fireball when they are escaping the fire nation ship, when he fires at Appa. In the animated series, Katara is shown to struggle with her abilities a lot as she slowly trains and gets better...
The main reason they went to Kyoshi Island was to ride the fish and have fun.. yet they seem to have completely left that out. They also seem to have removed the whole Sokka and Kyoshi warrior fight? So much for Sokka's personal growth. 😑
Okay, another gripe... Gran Gran just gave Katara the water bending scroll they stole from the Pirates? That was a pretty important plot line. Talk about lazy writing.
