Oh my GOD I saw the 48 Hours documentary on this. Buddy moved to Costa Rica with his girlfriend and didnt tell her or her family he was married already. He killed her once she found out. Her SISTER worked until her dying breath (of cancer) to bring him to justice. Even testifying against him 3 days before she died

My friend was celebrating his birthday and decided to treat us all, so he booked a room for the group at a nearby hotel called City Point. They quoted him ₦300,000 per room, he paid and booked it. After the party, we left the club around 2 -3 a.m. and headed straight to the hotel to rest.

As soon as we arrived, the receptionist told us our things had already been packed out of the room because checkout time is 12 noon. They never mentioned or reminded us of the checkout time when we booked or checked in earlier. Now they’re saying the room has been rebooked by someone else, and if we want to stay we have to pay again for another room.

Is this normal practice at hotels like this? It feels unfair and p0orly handled to me doesn’t the hotel have any responsibility to inform guests clearly about the checkout time, especially for a big booking like that?

My first terrible Sunday experience in Lagos was at House on the Rock in Lekki.

Their security stopped me at the entrance of the church, not the main gate because I had pure water sachet in my handbag.

I was told I couldn’t enter the house of my father with my pure water. Only bottled water or water in a flask was allowed.

So I asked, “What if this is all I can afford?”

The security officer replied that he didn’t make the rules. And I had to drop it with him.

I then asked what would happen if I got thirsty inside. He had no answer. He just stood in a way that made it clear, if I didn’t drop the water, I wasn’t going anywhere.

He even added that I should have transferred the water into a container before coming to church.

He also insisted on searching my bag. When I asked why, he said he had to search everybody’s bag. Yet, as he said that, other people were walking in without their bags being searched....so why stop me????

The only reason I was there was to honour an invitation from a friend. We actually came in together...
I already had my reservations about a few things, but my friend kept saying I shouldn’t believe everything I see online. So I came with an open mind to experience things for myself...

When the incident happened, I honestly wanted to walk out immediately. But my friend pleaded with me, so I handed over my pure water and went inside.

The whole thing felt humiliating and unnecessary.

We eventually had to step out during service to buy bottled water because I was actually thirsty.

From start to finish, I was fuming internally, except when I took pictures of my outfit at the end...plus when I got to say hi to Precious in the choir.

My friend jokingly suggested we try again and I never did .

Top 5 of my crazy experience in Lagos last year....to think that I dressed up really nice and left the mainland to Lekki only to experience that....
