The entire makeup of this country in population and socioeconomic development was shaped by infectious diseases spreading through our country. Schools were founded to fight them. Towns were created out west as doctors prescribed patients to the desert climate to heal from some diseases. Wars were won and lost b/c of our control of disease spread.

The hubris and delusion of a few are going to kill scores of people.
