@ice_chimp_@engineeringolf@BowTied_Golfer First time I watched Nicklaus I asked him this on a par 3. He said 7 iron and I thought the same thing. The four par 4s he drove that day was definitely not like me.
@jamierkennedy I enjoyed the first hole at Spyglass. Especially since I draw/hook my driver. Then after you turn down the hill and get your first view of the Pacific. Pretty impressive.
@Supersonic_Red@MZygodactyl01 The first thing I just thought of was.."If a picture paints a thousand words, then why can't I paint you?" I wore out Harry Chapin's "Greatest Stories Live" on my 8 track. Great memories. 👌
@Top100Rick I've seen five, including my own. First from an older lady with a driver from 112 yards when I was a kid and the last from a buddy with a 4 hybrid from 225 yards. One of the best shots I've ever seen. He actually traded the hybrid for another one a couple of weeks later.
@Jimfrombaseball First things first. Happy birthday! 🎂. Secondly, I was born in Hibbing while Bob Dylan was in high school less than a mile away. We lived in Chisolm close to relatives. Their kids' local doctor was "Moonlight Graham" from the movie "Field of Dreams."
@KipHenley I followed Nicklaus in an exhibition in 1973 two weeks before this. He was always known to hit a power fade. He actually hit OB left that round. Also pushed one into a water hazard. Still shot 66.
