@sciencewithtyus Hi! In what ways do you cope with performance pressure? Do you think the need to resist these pressures can apply to every education level, like undergraduate work too?
“There are still animals out there that can remind us of the fact that we’re not at the top of the food chain.” @sciencewithtyus talks with us about his informative new book for young readers, BIG CATS. https://t.co/i6mpTS9mOF @neonsquidbooks@MacKidsBooks@MacKidsSL
Did a solo camera check for my mesopredator shoreline project and had a moment to myself sitting under the shade of the trees and watching the clouds (stratus) every so gently pass by. #EarthDay2022 should be a reminder how much there is to fight for on this stunning planet. 🌎💛
My earth day message is to support all indigenous beings of the land you live on. The people, the water, the soil, the plants, the animals. Plant gardens that match the ecology of the place you live. Support our land and water protectors, in all of their resistance
A reminder that cats kill in surplus regardless of being well fed. It doesn’t matter how sweet or well-tempered you think your pet is you never know what they’re capable of unmonitored outdoors. This is not a matter of opinion, this is the supported science. #mondaythoughts#cats
Words of wisdom for the day:
Encouragement is the bane of imposter syndrome. Never underestimate how words of affirmation and assurance can uplift someone who may doubt their own greatness. We all need support every now and then.
"THIS IS WHAT A FIELD BIOLOGIST LOOKS LIKE."
@n8ture_al, @sciencewithtyus, & many others!
YES @murryloub!
Great talk today on field safety for minorities. Your expertise & experiences combined really makes you shine as you discuss this topic with others. Thanks for sharing!🌟

A reminder that pigs are tougher than you think and this video speaks to the lengths why their feral counterparts unleash monstrous damage on ecosystems they are invasive to. This is merely 2 adult pigs but wild herds can hold over 10 individuals acting as an unstoppable force.
@sciencewithtyus Grad school has been on my mind a lot lately. I’m sure it’s something I want to pursue, but I have a lot of questions. Did you pursue grad school right away or did you wait a bit? #UNKWildlife
Hope everyone is hanging in there and has a relatively decent day today. Here’s a little reptar boi aka western skink (Plestiodon skiltonianus) and a bright smile.
As always, stay curious!
I remember MANY years ago I went on a date with someone, she asked me “what do you want to do?”. Without hesitation I asked her “have you ever been herping before?” I thought it was completely normal to take someone out to catch frogs but this is in fact uncommon lol. 1/
Every now and then I forget that Komodo dragons exist somewhere far off the coast of Indonesia on Komodo Island and when I do remember I’m always reminded of how incredible the planet is that we live on.
