This woman is shouting; “ Death to Khamenei”, after morality police beaten her and injured her leg for not wearing hijab in Tabriz, Iran.
A young girl who filmed this says: 3 hijab enforcers warned her to cover her hair but she refused.
They called ambulance & didn’t let people to help her. She was shouting that we the women are not safe.
Recently, #ArmitaGeravand 16 year old girl went into a coma after being beaten up by hijab enforcers in Tehran. Systematic violence against unveiled women has increased in Iran.
"This picture captures my daughter and her friends in our Iranian village. The spirit of this generation fills me with hope for the future. The promise of brighter days is near. #WomanLifeFreedom forever."
A message from Iran.
@suzanne_moore@glosswitch@unherd Has she been kidnapped and forced to write the article? Perhaps the stream of nonsense is her way of letting us know. 🤷🏻♀️
“I would be happy if this bill would make a provision for elderly rape victims to testify in a private manner in court [... in camera] so the victims do not get to face the accused or testify in full view of the public,” Nontobeko Mkhumla

6,500 rapes & sexual assaults in hospitals were reported to police between January 2019 & October 2022
In a ‘safe space’ – horrific sexual violence is taking place
Our report highlighted the inexcusable failure in our hospitals – where we are at our most vulnerable
Why is this not being addressed?

@Arcadiawitch7 More worrying is the sign was made at workshop beforehand and lots of adults passed it and posed in front of it, including police and politicians, and not one thought to say wishing beheading on women you don't agree with may not be the progressive message you want to promote 🤷🏻♀️
@Paul_Ilett @Transgendertrd Why would you want a professional with experience, ability to think critically and awareness of the possible safeguarding risks to be removed from the team that supports a vulnerable young person?
@MMrziggy@Martina Trans exclusive radical feminist. In reality the position was more male exclusive than trans exclusive but now it's just a catch all term of abuse for women who assert sex based boundaries.
@MichaelUnett@kengland21@UKHomosexual When sex limited opportunity we sought change; voting, enabling women to get degrees, access professions or sit on juries... but never any feminist campaigning to remove privacy based on sex "where there is a reasonable expectation". Conflating this as a similar 'barrier' - sick.
Made it to Manchester Piccadilly train station, where all the ticket office windows at the station are earmarked for closure. Nobody will be able to buy a ticket from a human & there was no accessible information available to give to the public about the consultation. @RMTunion
#SaveTicketOffices 62000 sigs https://t.co/YiWTl3ykfJ Ideally 100k by tomorrow, but 70k will still have an impact Keep spreading the word!
It is outrageous that railway staff are disciplined for wearing "save ticket offices" stickers. People be strong! https://t.co/3siHU8Mbkj
Zayna Iman, 38, has obtained CCTV of her 40-hour detention but there are three hours of missing footage.
Two other women have also complained about their treatment by @gmpolice

Last day to contribute to the consultation https://t.co/f4CKZXumTD closing ticket offices has no positive benefit whatsoever for travellers - whether it is for safety, security, accessibility, independence etc knowing where staff can be found and assistance given is crucial.
The push to move staff away from ticket offices risks creating new barriers for blind and partially sighted people like Sid.
Modernisation should mean inclusivity, not apps and touchscreens.

In the face of tragedy, a mother’s resilience shines. Despite losing her 16-year-old son at the hands of Islamic Republic agents, she persists. They tore down her son’s photo, but she’s now hanging pictures of him and other victims citywide. Let’s stand together against injustice. #WomanLifeFreedom
“I felt indifferent to the news that the ‘morality police’ have been reinstated. Western media insists on telling us Iranians that Gasht-e-Irshad was abolished, but I don’t know a single Iranian friend of mine who believed that,”
