There's only one problem: No rational skeptic would claim that a government could coverup non-human intelligence without leaving significant evidentiary traces behind.

In other words, disclosure would reveal that skeptics weren't as rational���or as perceptive—as they believed.

That's not circular reasoning. It's a contingent argument.
