Me?
- I'm worried for our country & don't want to be on the wrong side of history.
- I'm here to "like" stuff because that's how we do things now, apparently.
Trump appointed Judge throws out parents' lawsuit. Merrick Garland's memo neither called parents terrorists nor implied it.
GOP like Tom Cotton, Ted Cruz, Ron DeSantis (all Harvard Law grads) and Josh Hawley (Yale Law) had to know but hoped *we* didn't.

I suspect this is going to show up in a variety of court pleadings. Whoever thought this was cute at the time may be less giddy when this becomes evidence of intent to disobey a court order.
Striking language just now from appeals court, rejecting Justice Dept argument to pause court order in Kilmar Abrego Garcia case:
"It is difficult in some cases to get to the very heart of the matter. But in this case, it is not hard at all. The government is asserting a right to stash away residents of this country in foreign prisons without the semblance of due process that is the foundation of our constitutional order"

This is an absolute *must read* opinion from Judge Wilkinson on the Fourth Circuit - a very conservative judge - in the Abrego Garcia case.

@AtomicTrucker@BulwarkOnline You're ignoring that his removal was illegal and thus the entire context, especially that this wasn't a 9-0 win for POTUS. Actually, you're simply playing semantic games. Due process is a thing and the onus is on the government.
@charliekirk11 Aren’t you the same fascists that whined and cried for over a year bc you claimed Trump wasn’t “getting due process?” (He was.)
Here you are now literally cheering the lack of due process. 🤡
@TeraTeraTera24 @BulwarkOnline He's paying them $6M to hold people there. Surely the "great negotiator" can convince Bukele to return a man. Surely he wants to correct a terrible wrong and support the rule of law? Or is he so weak and spineless that he simply can't?
@aj4297777686@Johncorreiaisme@TheRealLoDown@charliekirk11 It still doesn't matter. I've very clearly said that I disagree with DOJ getting to just say it doesn't matter. I still feel that they must go through the motions. Not sure why this infuriates you so much. Reasonable minds can disagree. It'll play out how it does.
@aj4297777686@Johncorreiaisme@TheRealLoDown@charliekirk11 Even if you're correct (and they're wrong), Bondi has not issued a decision overriding the judge's order. I don't see how they can pretend they have no ability to act either by negotiating w/Bukele or by issuing a magical decision.

@aj4297777686@Johncorreiaisme@TheRealLoDown@charliekirk11 Bondi also misrepresented what SCOTUS wrote as well as what was previously decided and Miller's not a lawyer. I don't think this is getting us anywhere. SCOTUS seems to think the govt is bound by the withdrawal of removal determination.
