Poverty mindset. You should be competing with your friends to pick up the tab. I pay for lunches, drinks, and ubers all the time and never send venmos. Not because I’m rich, but because frugality is a cancer to the brain.

Middle class has a scarcity relationship with money: focused on reducing expenses rather than increasing income. Upper class is the reverse. It’s not efficient to pinch pennies. They redirect that energy into scaling the top line at all costs.

@drgurner @BowTiedBull You’re underestimating how easy it is to maintain muscle with infrequent workouts and a good diet. Spend ~3 years getting jacked in your 20s and you can retain that muscle for decades without spending all day in the gym.
