"There are a lot more bees out there that are vital to the ecosystem"
Photographer and winner of the wildlife photography contest Luke Chambers @MacroChambers, told That's TV how he spotted this rare armed nomad bee.
@DrRossPiper And speaking of spiders, Pisaura mirabilis would make a great segment. Males with nuptial gifts. Females carrying their egg sacs, and then guarding the nursery and her developing young π
@DrRossPiper If there is a spider focused section as there was in the original, is there talks of including Steatoda nobilis? It would be great to have something out there to put a lot of the nonsense to bed, once, and for all. Not sure if that type of thing is what you're going for of course
@DrRossPiper 2 things I think would be great to feature.
The European Beewolf (Philanthus triangulum) and its relationship with Honey Bees.
And also the maternal care of the Lace-weaver (Amaurobius sp.) and how the female let's her young eat her alive π
