AI is real. There is a practical side of this that the government, most people and the markets are all missing. The government, most people and the markets have forever missed all things technological from the first industrial revolution to the iPhone to the .com evolution. The next phase will give us self driving cars, less congestion, less pollution to breathe, abundance beyond comprehension, an ability to solve medical problems and diseases at a pace currently unthinkable. It will happen far sooner than anyone, well almost anyone can imagine. The productivity gains alone will justify the cost for well run companies. And, as with all technology, the cost will decline rapidly. Things that cost $1 billion today will cost a few hundred thousand in less than ten years. I’ve trained my @grok assistant and other AI tools collectively to do what I paid three human assistants to do for me in 1985, two by 2003 and 1 by 2009. The amount of data I can pull in and analyze used to take me 200 hours a quarter. It now takes literally minutes. I didn’t need to write any code to get into the databases I have access to, just had to add my credentials and tell my assistant where to get the data and where to dump it in my systems so we could analyze it. Fed data, market data, BLS data, etc. all loaded on autopilot. When we want to update the analysis we have the AI rewrite the python code, test it, and then use our brains to review and interpret the data in a real world context. The few errors we find are easily corrected with a simple conversation with the assistant. Three assistants in 1985. Yeah I’m that old, the Dow was 900 when I got out of grad school. 😎

The America First Monetary Revolt: Trump’s Vision, Bessent’s Framework.

Scott Bessent’s remarks at the New York Economic Club were not merely about “economic statecraft.” They outlined a domestic political economy shift: restore private credit creation, revive the American System, and reduce the Federal Reserve’s outsized role. The throughline is clear, an America First alternative to the post-2008 regime of dominant central banks, constrained commercial banks, and asset-market dependency.

The Hamiltonian parallel is unmistakable. Alexander Hamilton did not view credit as neutral plumbing; he saw it as a tool of national development, directing private capital toward industry, production, and state power. Bessent’s framework echoes that tradition: align policy to reward domestic production, rebuild productive lending, and reorient capital toward manufacturing, supply chains, and strategic sectors rather than perpetual financial engineering.

It also points toward a more deliberate use of public balance sheets and quasi-public institutions to catalyze investment in reindustrialization, advanced manufacturing, and strategic capacity.

This makes his critique of the post-crisis order more consequential than routine debates about rates. Since the global financial crisis, the Fed has evolved from lender of last resort into the de facto manager of growth, market psychology, and risk pricing.

At the same time, post-Dodd-Frank regulation placed traditional banks in a structural constraint, while private credit expanded largely as regulatory arbitrage rather than as the natural expression of a healthy financial system.

Bessent’s prescription is not the elimination of the Fed, but its downsizing. He has endorsed reducing forward guidance and scrapping the dot plot, a direct challenge to the assumption that markets require constant signaling from central bankers. Yes, Warsh echoes this thesis, and yes it’s not hawkish.

His comments on the discount window are especially important. If regulators properly recognized capped, pre-positioned borrowing capacity, banks could reduce sterile liquidity buffers and expand real-economy lending. This is a serious institutional proposal: shift the system away from centralized monetary management and back toward decentralized private credit creation. Notably, Bessent also implies the U.S. should maintain relatively lower rates, reinforcing this credit expansion dynamic.

There is also a Jacksonian undertone. Trump’s America First framework, like Andrew Jackson’s campaign against the Second Bank, reflects a deep skepticism of concentrated financial power insulated from democratic accountability. In this view, expanding channels of credit, public and private alike, becomes a way to outflank entrenched financial intermediaries and redirect capital toward national priorities.

The target is a broader regime shift: one where credit creation, channeled through both markets and institutions, supports productive capital formation rather than asset inflation, and where growth is driven less by financial engineering than by innovation, industrial capacity, and technological progress.

The wager from Trump and Bessent is straightforward, America will be stronger when the Fed does less and the country builds more.

Private credit for productive investment. That sounds a lot like Hamilton.

I am literally sick. This is a devastating blow to every family that trusted our justice system.

Monsanto just won at the Supreme Court in a 7-2 decision, putting billions of dollars in jury verdicts for Roundup victims at risk. Americans who developed cancer after exposure to Roundup may now be denied the justice that juries across the country determined they deserved.

The message from this ruling is dangerous: if a federal agency approves a product, manufacturers may be shielded from accountability even when people are harmed.

Congress must act immediately.

1️⃣ Congress must pass legislation to correct this decision and restore Americans' right to hold corporations accountable.

2️⃣ During the EPA's upcoming Roundup review, truthful warning labels must be required so consumers can make informed choices.

3️⃣ The Senate must remove the Farm Bill provision that would delay this critical EPA review.

Is Texas Children’s Hospital going to kill this child as retribution because they are angry at AG Ken Paxton for successfully blocking them from doing trans surgeries on children?

This tiny little girl has shown some signs of recovery nearly drowning on Memorial Day and multiple doctors agree the hospital needs to give her time for the swelling on her brain stem to go down - but the Hospital is pushing to do a brain function test and wants the family to donate her organs. Debra Sukin is the President & CEO. She will not let this child be transferred to another hospital - she is blocking the parents from fighting for the life of their little girl and violating their religious belief in the sanctity of life. The parents got a temporary restraint order against the hospital to give jen time & a radical Progressive judge blocked it & gave the hospital the right to do the brain function test now before she has had time to heal.

There are TWO other Texas hospitals in the area standing by ready to take this child. How can anyone let Texas Children’s murder this little girl?
