going to take a moment to realign my trading with where i was in Q4
step away from screenshot pnl culture and just focus on the charts
i have nothing to market and journal everyday so didnt make much sense posting for 'transparency' and 'networking' is poor excuse
the journey continues
with a stronger launchpad and foundation before scaling this time

Tried short in $YM initially and price got chopped up. Then was looking for longs in RTY and got stopped by the tick before price moving in my direction which has been story of my week.π .
lmao going to touch grass been one of the craziest red streaks ever for what has been not even bad analysis.
Hopefully i can use this 4 day weekend as a proper reset and hone in on execution and trade management next week.
We go again.

Rough day trying to short after low was already put in in indices.
Just have to weather through this rough patch and adapt not able to trade how i was in Q4 but i need to make sure that im keeping up with good habits for when PA that fits my style best returns.
Problems:
- I was having green streaks in Q4
- Avoiding indices NY AM and trading metals only.
- Trading retracement in trending pa
- However now in Q1 metals has been untradeable in NY AM from risk standpoint and PA standpoint
- Indices has been more profitable for mean reversion strats in NY AM.
So on the fly ive had to construct a way to trade reversals in Indices during NY AM using orderflow that works for me.
started new lucid eval with motivewave
We go again.

Prolly lowest cortisol day trading in months. Very patient setup in $6A that also took hours to pan out. Got stopped out initially but got back in. Hopefully tomorrow brings more of the same.

just another day where i was onside and things didnt go in my favor.
Rough week for sure because potential was there to be wildly green. i think i have to transition into being a 1:1 RR trader next week.
Just SL or TP .
Moments like this in drawdown have taught me the answer out is often less is more.
So going to simplify my trade management even more and see how that goes.

GLOBEX took a few Ls in $GC shorts
NY AM took a stab at $ES shorts since $VIX made its way above 20. Price still seems to be stuck in this HTF range. zero follow through in shorts after 1000.
managed risk
we go again tomorrow

pretty good trading overall in globex and ny am. had to be nimble a bit as price was starting a new trend and had to adapt but kept my cool and was ALOT better with execution today.
hopefully a month or so from now my execution continues to be so good that i start having to track MFE and how much im leaving on the table with profit targets.
we go again tomorrow

Super frustrating day where my bias was correct but execution mistakes led to unnecessary losses.
Gotta take it on the chin and not bring past mistakes with me into the future.
JANUARY 2026 TRADING RECAP π
EOM Net Profit: +$1,276 NET
β’ Prop Payouts: +$1,772.85

THE BIG DISCOVERY π‘
Every $50k account I've lost since summer? Same pattern:
β EOD trailing drawdown violations
β NOT so much about trading errors
My risk management is solid. My stop discipline is solid. The issue? Consistency under EOD pressure. Simply not making enough on my green days.
Possible Solutions:
Trying out TFD STATIC drawdown assessment.
Made trade management tweak mid month to allow trades more breathing room before SL -> BE

ASSET SELECTION BREAKTHROUGH π
January taught me I was fighting the wrong battles:
β ES/NQ in low-VIX environments (<20) = choppy, frustrating
β Metals (GC/SI), Russell (YM), Energy (CL/RB) = clean orderflow, better trends
New Rule: No indices until VIX >20. Focus shifting to Metals (Asia) + Metals/Energy/FX (NY).

terrible day to try and force longs in $ES_F
i think this month the actual biggest mistake i made was forcing trades in markets were my edge wasnt present (indices ny am)
metals were great for me Q4 i think i was just put off by JUST HOW volatile they got from a risk management perspective so i thought a return to indices would prove 'safer'.
wrong!lmao im back and forth with claude today and if i had done nothing but avoid trading ES this entire month itd be a 180 story
whats next
- Globex -> Metals
- NY AM -> Metals, Energy, FX
- No indices trades till $VIX back above 20

Stayed flat in my main evals and decided to go more aggressive rest of week with tdfy and alpha accounts
got stopped out on $NQ_F shorts well after FOMC and then BE on a reentry just before Earnings dump

dll hit
less problem with execution today and more so just being too eager to get into a low probability setup
got stopped on $GC_F shorts back to back and called an end to my day pretty early
we go again tomorrow
