Rising CO2 levels can also negatively impact cognitive ability / judgment. How much of our current political insanity is a result of rising carbon & lowered oxygen?
CO₂ levels are now about the same as 4.1 to 4.5 million years ago, when temps were 3.9°C hotter and sea levels were 5-25m higher. South Florida was completely under water.
“These are conditions that human civilisation has never known.”
Terrifying.

@gregolear ... and now we can't watch the 2025 season of #DWTS. Disney, ABC, Hulu ... it's all gone. What a shame.
What's weird is that I didn't even watch JKL. Just feel the need to not support what shouldn't be supported.
@DystopiaRedux A) I did not write the article, I just linked to it.
B) Atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration has increased by over 20% in the past 45 years, rising from around 337 parts per million (ppm) in 1979 to 419 ppm in 2023. Pre-industrial levels were 280 ppm. Anything else?
@DystopiaRedux If I believed there was a decent chance that you were actually interested in using facts & reasoning in attempt to discern objective truth, I might engage. But my interactions in various social media cesspools has shown me enough misinformation trolls (and bots) to know better.
@The_LadyAnn 😺😸😹 Yeah, I'd like to believe some of my calls were interesting enough to use. But then again, I'd also hope that a few calls weren't ever listened to.
@The_LadyAnn Good morning to you, too, Sweet Pea!
I think I've taken more wildflower pics this year, than any other year prior ... and Spring still has more to offer!
@PeterBellwood@wildcreativity Cool! I've been photographing agates, jaspers, & other special stones (such as Pietersite) for over a decade. I'd like to think of it as being a curator of Mother Nature's underground art. Not sure of my path in getting images "out there".
Here's a Hungarian Stromatolite agate.
@mindfulheal Similar to breaking the chain of abuse or neglect, breaking the (parental/generational) chain of judgement is a challenging, but noble goal.
@The_LadyAnn Beautiful rose! 🌹
We just got back from our 3rd wildflower walk in 3 Sundays. 'Twas wonderful! One year ago, I couldn't take any hikes (& no docs could figure out why). So much gratitude!
I hope you have a wonderful 5 day break and get to see all of your flowers of choice!
