Urban trees are some of the hardest-working trees out there. As they line city streets, they protect residents and pedestrians from the elements and improve overall well-being and approach to community.
The more of them we have, the better off we'll all be. 🌳
A record number of 26 UK councils have been recognised as 'Tree Cities' through the Tree Cities of the World programme!
🌳 We're hosting the first-ever gathering at the UK Tree Cities Forum 2024 this June, in collaboration with @BhamTreePeople.

Last Friday, I joined a tree planting session at Loxton Park in #Nechells with @BhamTreePeople🌳
The event was staged as part of the launch of a new iTree survey sponsored by @AmazonUK that will help those working on our City of Nature Plans as we aim to improve our ecology💚
@BhamTreePeople @TreesforCities@BhamCityCouncil It was great to meet the team from TfC and we hope their sojourn to Brum was a good one. BTP are very grateful indeed to the organisation for organising the funding from BUPA to buy and more importantly look after the trees.
@fungi_flowers @STfLLondon What evidence that there isn't? If we don't try climate resilient species, we will be destined to have no urban forest. You need to catch up on the problems facing our trees.
