The Lightning Network's utter failure will not have an impact on the price of $BTC because almost no one has ever heard about it and even less people actually use it... institutions couldn't give less of a shit about the LN.

It has always been a handicapped piece of technology that would not work well to scale $BTC even if it were perfectly implemented and secure.

The recent news about possible exploits is actually bullish for $BTC since maxis may finally get their heads out of their asses and try to implement a better scaling solution.

If you are a maxi who have parrot tales of how the Lightning Network was "beautiful" and it worked so well to scale $BTC, then this is a good moment to wake up and step out of maxi bubble.

The claim that terrorists "received $82m" in crypto transfers is a gigantic lie. Chainalysis thinks it's probably sub $1m. Politicians harassing the crypto space with this are simply malicious fabulists. They should be community noted at every turn

On reflection the fact that SBF was able to psyops me into not pressing him to answer the specific question is fucking impressive 😅. The fact he just yolo’d millions of customer money into yield farms and appears to have not even flinched at the potential of total loss is crazy.

This is incredible:

Markets are beginning to price-in chances of rate hikes all the way until December 2024.

There's now a ~49% chance of a rate hike by January 2024.

There is even an 11% chance of a rate hike in July 2024.

Meanwhile, the 10-year note yield is nearing 4.90% right now.

8% mortgages are soon going to look like a good deal.

Prediction: every single L1 that is promising to scale without L2s will eventually either saturate L1 throughput and scale via L2s or fail to gain mass adoption.

New money will be coming to BTC ETFs. BTC will pump as it has always done, but insiders and early birds will rotate into ETH as they always have, except this time there is no ETH supply to absorb the rotation.

BlackRock's CEO statement about a crypto being part of a "flight to quality" has gotten everyone's attention.

Maxis are loosing their mind over it thinking it's all about $BTC... but it's not.

This is what I think is going to happen... 👇

Today we have witnessed how even a false rumor can be significant enough to cause sentiment to shift and kickstart a new bull run.

This time around $ETH will have more mature L2 options, easily accessible yield via LSDs, near zero/negative issuance, proto-danksharding, future ETFs and possibly spot ETFs which would put and end to the regulatory FUD.

If your favorite influencer is still fading $ETH or ETH/BTC, then I hope he is giving you more than just maxi ideological narratives or TA.

This will change everything: T-Bills tokenized on #Ethereum can be used as money.

It is very similar to having USD on a checking account, but...
1. It's slightly less stable than the dollar.
2. It's actually deflationary.
3. It's theoretically immune to banking crises.
4. It has no KYC.
5. It's global and available to everyone regardless of location, jurisdiction or any other traditional form of qualifying criteria such as age verification. Internet access is the only requirement.
6. Fees are flat, cost less than 5 cents per transaction paid directly by the sender. The cost to receive is always ZERO. Compare this to 2-3% transactional fees charged by conventional payment processing services.
7. There is no minimum balance, no management fees and no overdraft fees.
8. It's directly plugged into #Ethereum's digital economy. Ethereum's network is the biggest host of tokenized assets and automated exchanges by a large margin. The global, accessible and neutral nature of Ethereum gives tokenized assets access to an unprecedent level of liquidity.
9. All transactions are settled globally every 12 seconds.
10. It actually has a lower carbon footprint when compared to traditional financial services.

So... it is possible to explain very concretely why $ETH is a really f***ing big deal and how it is criminally underpriced at anything less than $5k.

Protocol and staking pool changes that could improve decentralization and reduce consensus overhead:

[Samuel Chong @stakesaurus]

Today I am open sourcing an end-to-end ETH home-staking guide that I use for my own business.

It is a document that has been painstakingly compiled over the past couple of weeks, designed to bring any lay-person from zero-to-one on home-staking conceptually and operationally.

Get it here - https://t.co/OBradC3I8O

There are 3 reasons why I am doing this:

✅ The Stakesaurus community - i.e. people I am helping run validators for and those I am teaching - will not be stranded if something untoward happened to me all of a sudden

✅ Ethereum is in a never-ending battle with centralising forces and increasing the number of solo node operators is a huge mitigator against recent concerns around liquid staking dominance

✅ I strongly believe node operations as a skillset has the potential to uplift many underserved communities in developing countries which I have written in more detail here (https://t.co/d5sHIU9Jgz). I intend for this layman-friendly guide to be the first step in bringing this vision to life.

“Aren’t you killing your own market by doing this?”

“It’s going to germinate more competitors for your business”

As you know, Stakesaurus helps individuals set up and run their own ETH validators in a trust-less-ly. While there is truth to the questions above, I don’t necessarily think it’s a bad thing entirely. Here’s why:

⛔ People who want to run their own validators will always find a way. Perhaps they might take a little longer to get there but they will eventually - which means I will need to spend way more time converting them and retaining them. In short, the LTV/CAC might be less than 1 for this market segment so I should filter them out asap

💯 Conversely, people who do not want to spare head space on running their own validators will never do so themselves. This is the market segment I want to reach asap and this guide provides a glimpse into Stakesaurus’ node ops knowhow

So if you found this guide useful and want to be a part of Stakesaurus’ journey, consider sharing it around with people who might consider home-staking!

This guide references and builds upon several other guides that came before mine and I could not have been able to run my first validator without them. Huge thanks to these OGs for their work - @ethStaker , @coincashew_ @SomerEsat @Rocket_Pool
