When it comes to One Piece, niggas ignore every bit of context, but with Naruto and especially Bleach they suddenly wanna do a full deep dive analysis on everything. I’ve seen too many clowns like this repeat the same takes without actually looking at the story or what oda wrote. They see one scene and go “yeah that’s it” while ignoring all the buildup, themes, character influence, and payoff around it.
@Dan4Neo The Netflix DMC fan is infinitely more endearing than the average DMC fan because at least he properly consumed a piece of media instead of larped
You know who made so little off ads they nuked their main series off YT, made their own site & made you subscribe to watch it? Yeah Rooster Teeth. You DON'T want that.
RT's gone & RWBY's STILL not on YT & stuck on 3 different streaming sites cause of them. Never recovered since.
There was a show back in the day that followed this mentality and its name is RWBY. Guess what happened to it? Dead and buried, with no new content despite them shoddily canonizing a Yuri couple at their latest season to pander to "fans".
You might not like sexualized characters, you might not think sexy characters in cartoons intended for developing kids are not appropriate, but, I'm sorry to tell you this, it's the only way to stop them from jerking off to Five Nights at Freddys and Roblox and Minecraft Alex.
Developers with AAA levels of funding and connections in the industry calling their games "indie" is quickly becoming the video game equivalent of western showrunners calling their cartoons "anime"
I cannot in any respect understand the mindset of "I hate anime, I hate visual novels, I don't read, and I want to make a DR game for people exactly like me".
At that point, just don't bother, man. Art made from pure contempt for its influences is the worst. It's anti-art.
