Norman Finkelstein at his very best here, sharp, knowledgeable and based. Black history in the US is a really good historical context for Zionism for many reasons, one of which being it centers non-white people in a moral and political discussion, which is still revolutionary in our stupid culture, and another is it breaks the spell of the Jewish Holocaust discourse, which colonized basically every human discussion about anything, anywhere, anytime.

Talking about the plight of black (and indigenous) people is really a form of liberation in itself, taking us to a future where the suffering of Jews is not the only meaningful thing that ever happened in human history. I wish more white Americans understood this

ACM Neto, candidato ao governo da Bahia pelo União Brasil, era líder de uma organização criminosa que operou um esquema fraudulento dentro da prefeitura de Belo Horizonte, que teria movimentado cerca de R$ 1,4 bilhão, em crimes de corrupção, desvio de recursos públicos e lavagem de dinheiro. Uma parte desse montante teria sido transportada em dinheiro vivo, em malas que foram levadas dentro de jatinhos em voos fretados. É o que aponta o relatório da Polícia Federal (PF) no âmbito da Operação OverClean. O relatório da PF afirma textualmente que ACM Neto “exerce a função de liderança da organização criminosa constituída para obtenção de recursos públicos a partir de contratos públicos superfaturados”.
