@jolingkent sat down with Kalshi's CEOs to ask why they decided to bring on the President's eldest.

Another day, another story on this website about the Trump / Witkoff families' World Liberty Financial.
Now, @justinsuntron has something to say.
I wonder if he's read our @OCCRP investigation from last week. What does he think of it?

A Republican-led resolution could trigger tax season chaos, potentially pushing D.C.'s filing deadlines into the fall, depriving the city of almost $700 million in revenue, and eliminating tax credits for low-income residents. https://t.co/gTN8Ju9FR0

My latest for @CBSNews: an anonymous user placed a well-timed bet on Polymarket just before Nicolas Maduro was removed from Venezuela.
The user made more than $400,000 in less than 24 hours.
Was it excellent luck or insider trading? Our story with @jolingkent and @mattmosk
The night before the U.S. military captured Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, somebody, somewhere placed an extremely well-timed bet on the prediction markets site Polymarket.
On January 2, an anonymous user bet $32,000 that the Venezuelan leader would be out of power by January 31. At 4:21 a.m. the following morning, President Trump announced that Maduro was in custody — and the user chased out, making more than $400,000.
While the bettor’s identity is still unknown, lawyer Dennis Kelleher said “this particular trade really has all the hallmarks of an insider trade.” The FBI said it “declines to confirm or deny the existence of an investigation” into insider trading.
NEW REPORTING: CBS News reviewed security camera footage that showed children being dropped off at one of the daycares the same day Nick Shirley knocked on their door.
Shirley claimed ABC Learning Center was one of many across the city that were empty.

New from me and @ellee_watson - The Navy quietly disciplined 18 Navy SEALs after military investigators found a private group chat that contained racist memes targeting a Black SEAL. We obtained over 500 pages of documents from FOIA. https://t.co/IyTX42jSpJ
New:
We spent the past three months trying to piece together a picture of Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old man accused of killing Charlie Kirk.
Robinson was a computer gaming savant, a reserved but dependable electrician, and a seemingly libertarian-leaning political observer who "loved his guns, loved his beer and hated the government." Then last year, he began to date a roommate undergoing a gender transition, and a person who knew him well said his politics began to change.
Incredible story-- with oh my god text messages-- from @mega2e and Isabella Kwai on how Andrew Tate, the manosphere star accused of rape + trafficking, secured his freedom. He was barred from leaving Romania. But he courted Barron Trump, among others. After support from Trump administration officials, and an extraordinary order, he was free. https://t.co/M8lyOuoGzM
NEW INVESTIGATION: For @CBSMornings we dug into parents complaints who enrolled their kids in a new classical school, only to be informed it wouldn’t be opening.
Our reporting led us to a charter school network w/ deep political ties

But President Trump said in an interview with CBS News' "60 Minutes" earlier this month that the tactics employed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement "haven't gone far enough."

Balliet fears the long term effect of this behavior: "This is gonna have an irreparable harm to the trust and faith that the general public has in its law enforcement officers. It is creating a divide that is going to take years—if it can ever be fully repaired."
